I am a Research Scientist at Center for Childhood Deafness Language and Learning at Boys Town National Resarch Hospital. I lead the Etiologies of Language and Literacy Lab.
I study how speech, language, and, reading skills are connected behaviorally and genetically across the lifespan in multiple populations, including typical language development, Developmental Language Disorder, cleft palate with and without cleft lip, and Dyslexia. I use multiple methods including big data and meta-analyses. My recent work is developing a set of unsupervised remote data collection tools to measure speech, language, and reading skills in adults.
